All funds raised at the Bristol SleepOut will go to 1625 IP, a local project supporting young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, including care-leavers and young asylum seekers, in Bristol.
There is a severe lack of high quality affordable housing for young people in Bristol. 1625 IP own 6 properties, which provide supported and move-on housing for young people who have experienced homelessness, including care-leavers and young asylum seekers. These 6 owned houses were mostly made available for purchase from the local authority and there is remedial and renovation work needed to be done to ensure these properities meet, and exceed, the Decent Homes Standard as well as the upcoming EPC regulations for landlords.
The six properties are all based in Bristol and vary from 3–4 bed terraced houses, with 20 bedspaces
in total. They are designed to offer a combination of support levels - low support accommodation;
move on accommodation; and accommodation for young refugees and asylum seekers. Staff make
regular visits to the residents (rather than being on site full-time), who tend to stay for 12-18 months.
The support provided to young people will address the issue of young people lacking the
skills, confidence and support required to sustain accommodation and develop the skills they need for independence.
More than 40 young people will be accommodated here in the first 3 years of the project.
All funds raised via the Bristol SleepOut will be directed to this project.

About the evening
By attending the LandAid SleepOut you will gain a small insight into the conditions faced by thousands of young people across the UK every single night. During the event you will hear from the charities and young people that LandAid support.
The events will be open to the elements, so please do come prepared. Throughout the evening we will be serving hot drinks and snacks, but we do ask you to eat a hot meal prior to coming.
