Hey there!
So I think it’s safe to say that the Covid-19 crisis has had a pretty adverse effect on all of us. It has permeated every aspect of our lives, turning our worlds upside down and challenging our sense of stability and security. Times are hard on us all, but most of us at least have somewhere safe to sleep.
This obviously isn’t the case for everyone, and the impact of the pandemic can be felt even more acutely by our young people, particularly those facing homelessness.
In London the number of young people sleeping rough on the streets has risen by 47% since the start of the pandemic.
Young people facing homelessness need our support more than ever.
So, on the 11th March, I am going to be taking part in the LandAid Virtual SleepOut to raise money to help support young people who are at risk of homelessness. Luckily I have a garden, so that is where I shall be spending the night- I will ensure it is the most uncomfortable place I can find don’t worry, with nothing but a sleeping bag and phone to virtually join others taking part (DISCLAIMER: I will be sharing the WORST pictures of myself throughout so view at your own risk)
So if you can, please donate, as your support will go towards protecting vulnerable young people from homelessness.
