Tour de LandAid

My Activity Tracking

My target 750 kms

I'm taking on the Tour de LandAid

Our team of friends from the UK Property industry rides the Tour de Landaid and is focussed on matching the distance ridden on the Tour de France, between us, each day from 26th June to 17th July. and raise funds for this marvellous charity.  Easy...

Less easy is the life of challenged, homeless young people across the country. This problem has a huge impact on the lives of those affected, who haven’t had the life chances many of us have enjoyed. I’m keen to help, and if I can do that while turning the pedals, it’s a win win!
My personal aim is to ride every one of the 22 days of le Tour and cover as much distance as an aging, not quite fit cyclist can muster!!
I’d be very grateful for your support in this; thats for giving me a cheer, some slipstream or even a push up the hills! and if you can manage a donation, that will be so appreciated!

Thank you,

My Updates

Our journey so far...

Thursday 1st Jul

Well done to you all in our team, for a great start on this challenge! And congrats to every other team, some have already ridden incredible distance!

5 days in, and all of us have done incredibly well; far exceeding Le Tours’ daily total kilometre count and keeping us high on the leader board!!  John and Freddie have seen action in wonderful Irish landscapes and coastline settings,  whilst Estelle and Owen have turned great distances on the road but also on Peloton and Zwift, in the ‘comfort’ of their home workout spaces.  James and Keith, both with a long connection to all things cycling, are relishing the opportunity of daily rides, taking in the beautiful South Downs and varied Yorkshire terrain respectively.

And, we have avoided the first week chaos associated with the Tour de France - this year has been a particularly bad one with the medical teams kept very busy.  Let’s hope all the crash victims recover well, especially everyone’s favourite welsh cake eating champ, Geraint Thomas; he still has a chance of a strong finish and a high rank on the general classement, when they get to Paris. Go G!!

Go LandAid!

Thank you to my Sponsors
