Allsop are fundraising for LandAid to provide emergency accommodation
The first step out of homelessness is the most important and that’s why I’m fundraising for LandAid’s First Step campaign. The campaign is raising money to provide emergency accommodation for young people at risk of sleeping rough, ensuring they have somewhere safe and secure to sleep.
The Covid-19 crisis has had an immense effect on all of us, on our daily lives, our businesses, our sense of security. The impact of the pandemic can be felt even more acutely by young people facing homelessness.
In London, the number of young people sleeping rough on the streets has risen by 80% since the start of the pandemic. The ONS predicts that youth unemployment will rise by 600,000 this year.
Young people facing homelessness need our support more than ever.
LandAid brings the property industry together to support charities delivering life-changing services for young people who are or have been homeless, or who are at risk of homelessness in the future.
