Race for LandAid Terms and Conditions 2025

By taking part in Race for LandAid 2025, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Terms and Conditions of your participation in
Race for LandAid 2025

By taking part in Race for LandAid 2025 you must agree to the terms and conditions below which are required by law under the Fundraising Regulator. 

  1. By signing up to this event, I give consent to participate in the Race for LandAid 2025 and I understand that the race organiser is Innovation Sports Ltd on behalf of LandAid.

  2. I understand that this event is a family event. I confirm that any under 16s will be supervised by an adult at all times.

  1. I understand that the organisers, their contractors, employees, staff, and/or voluntary workers will not be held responsible for any injury, loss or harm resulting from my taking part in the event and my personal possessions are my own responsibility.

  1. I hereby fully understand that this event may include an element of personal risk or death. I therefore understand and hereby state that I participate in this event and agree that the Race Organisers and their contractors, employees, directors, and shareholders shall have no responsibility or liability of any nature whatsoever in respect of my participation in this event. I agree to abide by this disclaimer.

  1. I understand that I must seek medical advice about any health concerns I may have about participating.

  2. I understand that if I am not entitled to access NHS medical care, I must have adequate medical insurance in place but if I do not, any payment for medical care I may need is my responsibility.

  3. I acknowledge and agree that LandAid or Innovation Sports reserve the right to deem any participant unfit to partake in the event on the day if, in their judgment, the participant's health and safety may be compromised.

  4. I agree that I am in good health to participate in this event. Furthermore, I understand that should any medical treatment be required or deemed to be necessary, every reasonable effort will be made to obtain consent of the emergency contacts nominated.

However, in an emergency, or in the absence of contact with such nominated person I authorise Innovation Sports Ltd and/or LandAid to consent on my behalf to any medical treatment, which a qualified doctor, Paramedic or other such qualified person may deem necessary.

  1. I understand and accept that LandAid and Innovation Sports retain the authority to modify the race route(s) at any time prior to the event, with the paramount objective of ensuring optimal safety and well-being for all participants.

  2. I understand that LandAid cannot be held liable for any changes made to the event for safety reasons, or as otherwise planned, through circumstances beyond our control; this includes, diverse weather conditions.

  3. I understand that by registering a team that I am agreeing to the terms and conditions on behalf of all members.

  4. I understand that when I select the race ticket package, I must pay for my entry in full to secure my place in the challenge:
5K Distance  - £20.00 (early bird) / £25.00
10K Distance - £25.00 (early bird)  /£30.00
10 Mile Distance - £30.00 (early bird) /£35.00
Child Entry (5K Only) £5.00

 

Virtual Race (Any Distance) – £20.00 (early bird) / £25.00

 

I understand that this payment is non-refundable except in extraordinary circumstances (in which instance, LandAid will always endeavour to transfer the funds to another event)

  1. I will immediately inform LandAid if anything occurs that puts my participation in doubt. I understand that my place may be transferred to another participant up until seven days before the event (12 June 2025), provided this is for an equal or lesser distance. After this date, places are non-transferable, and the full balance of the package must be paid to LandAid, as the charity cannot cover the loss of income.

 

  1. I understand that if I withdraw, it is my responsibility to arrange a replacement for my participation, as LandAid will not handle this on my behalf.

  2. After full payment, if LandAid cancels the event, the following refunds will apply:
  • A full refund of the payments made
  • Funds transferred to another LandAid event
  • Payment as a donation to LandAid

In the event of cancellation, LandAid will provide written confirmation of the cancellation.

 

  1. I understand that the minimum fundraising target is £100 for the Physical and Virtual Race. I will make my best effort to raise funds for LandAid in connection with my participation in the event and aim to meet the minimum target. Additionally, I aim to raise 50% of my fundraising target by 31 May 2025. All payments must be made to LandAid within two calendar months of the event date (19 August 2025).

  1. I understand that payments for the Race entries and any Gift Aid amounts do not count towards my fundraising target.

  1. I understand that if I do not meet my minimum fundraising target of £100, LandAid may invoice me or my company for the remaining balance.

  1. I will ask all sponsors (unless they are donating via my online sponsorship page) to complete a sponsorship form which will include an option for sponsors to ensure their donation also attracts gift aid and I understand that I must only use the sponsorship form(s) provided by LandAid.

  1. I understand and will make clear to all sponsors that sponsorship money is given by way of donation. If I fail to take part in, or withdraw from the event, any sponsorship collected can be requested as a refund, otherwise will be retained by LandAid.

  1. Any fundraising I undertake in connection with my participation in the event will be for LandAid only.

  2. I have provided LandAid with the correct information. For more information on data, please refer to the LandAid Privacy Policy. I understand that Innovation Sports Ltd will share and process the information I provide and that they may contact me subsequently.  If you object to your personal data being shared and processed, please email us at info@innovationsports.co.uk

  1. I will not do anything to bring LandAid into disrepute. If I do so, LandAid has the right to withdraw my place, without the need to refund registration fees.

  2. I give permission for the free use of any pictures or video footage taken by LandAid, or it’s approved partners on the day for promotional advertising or other uses as deemed appropriate. I also agree to photos & videos being taken by accredited persons within Innovation Sports Ltd and/or their contractors during race activities for promotional/advertising and other such purposes. Such media will only be used by Innovation Sports Ltd in accordance with their privacy policies. If you object to photos/ videos of you being taken, please email us at info@innovationsports.co.uk and race@landaid.org

Innovation Sports Ltd and LandAid will endeavour to remove or prevent images from publication of any person indicating that they do not wish their image to be used. As identifying individual persons is a difficult process your race number will be used to filter your image from any published media.

  1. I understand that the event is fully staffed by LandAid & Innovation Sports staff. I agree to follow instructions safely and follow any advice given by all staff.

  2. I understand if I am registered as disabled or with additional accessibility requirements, I will notify LandAid prior to the event and follow the appropriate advice given.

  3. I agree that if I am participating with a dog, the dog must be on a short, handheld, non-extendable lead, in control and at my side at all times. Handsfree or harness leads are strictly prohibited.

  4. I confirm I have read, understood, and agree to all the terms and conditions set out above.

 

LandAid recommends all participants keep a copy of the terms and conditions safe to refer to after registering for the event.
