MediaCityUK Loop – Salford Quays Course Description*

This scenic looped course takes participants on a lively and engaging route through the heart of Salford Quays and MediaCityUK, offering a blend of urban landscapes, waterside views, and cultural landmarks.

Starting Point: Near ITV Studios, Salford

Highlights Along the Route:

• Cross the MediaCity Footbridge and take in stunning sights of the BBC Studios, The Lowry Outlet, and Imperial War Museum North.

• After crossing Milennium Bridge, enjoy waterfront views along Central Wharf and pass Kargo MKT and Virgin Active, continuing toward Sovereign Point and along The Quays.

• Loop around just before Huron Basin, skirting The Lowry, before heading back past the MediaCityUK Metrolink.

• Finish with a final stretch back past BBC Studios, returning to the starting point.

Elevation: Mostly flat with gentle undulations, peaking at approximately 25 metres – ideal for runners and walkers of all abilities.

Terrain: A mix of paved footpaths and bridge crossings, with occasional gentle gradients. The course is well-suited to both beginners and seasoned participants looking for a fast, scenic 5K or 10K.
