The LandAid Trek will be hosted in the stunning surroundings of the 4-star Palace Hotel Buxton.

On Thursday, our welcome dinner will be held at the hotel. On Friday morning, participants will enjoy a nutritious breakfast and collect packed lunches before boarding coaches to the trek's starting point.

After the trek, all participants will return to the hotel for a celebratory dinner to cap off the day's adventures. During your two-night stay, you are also welcome to enjoy the hotel's facilities.

Hotel rooms and places are limited, so please book quickly to avoid disappointment.

Bedrooms

Guests can choose from a variety of room options, including Triple, Twin, Double, or Single Rooms. The hotel's spacious en-suite bedrooms are equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, a TV, a hairdryer, and complimentary Wi-Fi for added convenience.

Gym & Spa

The hotel boasts a health and leisure club equipped with an indoor pool, gym, spa, sauna, and steam rooms. The spa offers an extensive selection of treatments and packages, providing guests with the perfect opportunity to relax and rejuvenate.

Restaurants & Bars

The Hotel features an on-site restaurant, The Dovedale, offering a diverse menu of food and drink options. Guests can also enjoy the Lounge Bar, which is equipped with large TV screens and serves a selection of hot and cold beverages, as well as light meals and snacks.

How to get there

Getting to the Palace Hotel Buxton couldn’t be easier, with the hotel being just off the A53. If you are travelling by car the hotel has an on-site car park, which is chargeable. Buxton Train Station is a short 3-minute walk and there are bus stops located on the A53.

Accommodation specific terms stated below:

  • I must pay a deposit to secure my place in the challenge. I understand that the deposit is non-refundable except in extraordinary circumstances. LandAid will always endeavour to transfer the funds should extraordinary circumstances arise.
  • The final balance is due 8 weeks prior to the event date by 25th July 2025. 
  • I will immediately inform LandAid if anything occurs that puts my participation in doubt. I understand that my place may be transferred to another participant up until 2 weeks before the event (05/09/25), provided no changes to the number or type of rooms are required. After this date, places are non-transferable, and the full balance of the package must be paid to LandAid, as the charity cannot cover the loss of income.
  • I understand that if I withdraw, it is my responsibility to arrange a replacement for my participation, as LandAid will not handle this on my behalf.
  • I understand that if I withdraw from the challenge and cannot fill my spot, the following conditions will apply:
    • Cancel more than 8 weeks before departure (before 25th July 2025): The deposit is non-refundable, but any additional payments will be refunded.
    • Cancel less than 8 weeks before departure (after 25th July 2025): No refund will be provided, and the total challenge balance will remain payable to LandAid.
    • Written confirmation of cancellation is required. This must be sent via email, and LandAid must confirm receipt.
