The Event
What is Race for LandAid?
Race for LandAid is our annual running event that brings the property industry together for a day of challenge, connection and fundraising.
Taking place at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the event offers three distances for 2026: 5K, 10K and an all-new 40th Anniversary Half Marathon route. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, running with colleagues or taking on your first organised race, there’s a distance to suit everyone.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to get active with industry peers while raising vital funds to help end youth homelessness.
When will Race for LandAid 2026 be taking place?
Race for LandAid 2026 will take place late afternoon / early evening on Thursday 11 June 2026.
Full event timings will be confirmed soon and this page will be updated once they are finalised.

Is it a Race?
Race for LandAid is open to everyone. Whether you want to run, jog or walk, you’re very welcome to take part and enjoy the day at your own pace.
For those feeling competitive, prizes will be awarded to the fastest male and female finishers in each race distance.
To keep the event running smoothly, cut-off times will apply on the day for each distance. If you’re unsure whether you’ll meet the time limit, please get in touch with us before the event and we’ll be happy to talk through the options.
Above all, Race for LandAid is about coming together as an industry, having fun and raising vital funds to help end youth homelessness.

Race for LandAid will go ahead in most weather conditions.
Over the years we’ve seen just about everything on race day, from torrential rain to blazing sunshine, so we always encourage participants to come prepared for the British weather!
Our Event Management Team will closely monitor conditions in the lead-up to and during the event. In the case of extreme weather that could affect safety, we will communicate any changes to participants as quickly as possible.
We recommend checking the forecast ahead of the event and bringing appropriate clothing, sun protection or waterproofs so you can stay comfortable and enjoy the run.
Can those that I live with get involved?
Yes absolutely. Whether they’re your housemates or your family we’d love to have them involved. You can take part virtually from wherever you are, or feel free to bring them along to the event. Just make sure they're all registered in advance!
Can I bring my pet?
We want Race for LandAid to be as inclusive and welcoming as possible, and we’re delighted that dogs are welcome to join the event.
If you plan to run or walk with your dog, please follow these guidelines to help keep everyone safe and comfortable:
-
One dog per participant
-
Dogs must be kept on a short, handheld, non-extendable lead
-
Your dog should stay by your side and within reach at all times
-
Please take care to avoid tripping or obstructing other participants
We ask all dog owners to be mindful of fellow runners and the busy event environment so everyone can enjoy the day. 🐕
Fundraising
Do I need to raise a specific amount to take part?
Yes. We ask all participants to aim for a minimum fundraising target of £100 per person.
Raising £100 could help fund a safe place for a young person for nearly three weeks, providing stability and support when it’s needed most.
You can find out more about the cost of funding a safe place to sleep on our website. Every pound raised helps move us closer to ending youth homelessness.
Can you help me to reach my fundraising target?
Yes, absolutely!
Start by exploring the fundraising resources in your fundraiser’s dashboard, where you’ll find tips, ideas and materials to help you boost your fundraising.
If you’d like to chat or need a bit more support, just drop us an email at race@landaid.org and our team will be happy to help.
What is the best way to raise money?
Personalising your asks can make a big difference to both the number and size of donations you receive.
One of the easiest ways to fundraise is by sharing your fundraising page on social media or via email with friends, family and colleagues.
Make sure you personalise your page too. Adding a photo and a short message about why you’re racing for LandAid helps people connect with your challenge and understand the difference their support will make.
Is there a deadline to have raised money by?
How will my supporters know that I’ve completed Race for LandAid?
We recommend taking plenty of photos during your training and on the day itself, and sharing them with your donors before, during and after Race for LandAid.
You could also record a few short videos along the way and turn them into a vlog or social media reel to show your supporters your journey and thank them for their donations.
Don’t forget to tag #RaceforLandAid so we can reshare your posts and help you spread the word.
How is my fundraising page created?
Once you register for Race for LandAid, your personal fundraising page will be created automatically.
If you’re registering a group, team captains can also create a team page for colleagues to join.
To make sure your fundraising counts towards our leaderboards and event challenges, please use the official event platform and avoid setting up pages on other platforms such as JustGiving.

Race your Way
I can't take part in person, can I participate virtually?
You can join us in London, take part virtually through Race Your Way, or look out for our North West event later in the year.

Do I have to run on Thursday 11 June?
If you're taking part in the event virtually - we'd love as many people to run on 11 June as possible but if you can't find time to complete the distance on that day - that's absolutely fine - feel free to do so on a day in June that's convienent to you.
How can I record my virtual run?
Our fundraising pages include the function to sync your personal distance tally so you can track your training runs and the race itself. This is a great way to keep your friends updated on your workouts!
If you track your workouts with Fitbit, MapMyFitness or Strava your distances will automatically add to your tally.
Follow these steps to track your KMs automatically:
1. Download the Fitbit, Strava or MapMyFitness app and set up your account
2. Log in to your [charity or event name] account.
3. Under the heading ‘Connect your preferred Fitness app’, click your chosen app.
4. Follow the prompts to connect your account
5. When you next work out, select ‘start your workout’ in the app on your phone. Once you end your workout, save your workout and your distance will be published to the tally on your page the following day.
If you have synced your app already but it is not working, please log in and re-connect it.
When using Fitbit, you must ‘start’ an activity and save it. Your daily steps will not automatically add to your page. If you are having issues, try syncing through BOTH your Fitbit and the Fitbit app on your smartphone.
When using MapMyFitness, you must ‘start’ your workout, ‘stop’ your workout and then ‘SAVE’ your workout.
Your tally will be updated each day with the previous day’s distances.
Remember, you can manually add your kilometres to the tally in your My Fitness Activity tab of your profile after registering. This is a great option if you’re using a pedometer or a different method of tracking your distances.
Follow these steps to manually add your KMs:
1. Log in to your account and select ‘My Fitness Activity’
2. Under ‘Add activity’, enter the date and distance
3. The number of KMs will now appear on your fundraising page!

The Fastest Team Challenge is a friendly competition within Race for LandAid for teams who want to add a competitive edge to their day.
Your fundraising team can include participants across any distance. However, the Fastest Team Challenge is based on the 10K race only.
To qualify, a race team must include a maximum of five runners in the 10K. The combined finishing times of those runners will determine the overall result, with the fastest team crowned the Fastest Team Challenge winners.
If your fundraising team is larger, you can enter multiple Fastest Team Challenge teams, each made up of up to five runners in the 10K. This is a great way to bring colleagues together, spark some healthy competition and boost your fundraising.
