Previously dubbed ‘The Midlands’ Toughest 10km’, we're delighted to be able to mix things up this year by unveiling a new, accessible route along beautiful tree-lined footpaths and a stunning river trail set within 27 acres of public realm at Longbridge West Works.
The 5km race will take in newly opened footpaths at West Works following the course of the regenerated River Rea, allowing runners to stride around the former home of the iconic MINI car before returning to Longbridge town centre. Set within beautiful natural surrounding across mainly flat terrain, the race should appeal to those who are new to running as well as those looking to post a quick 5km time.
Competitors in the 10km race will complete the same West Works loop before tackling the notoriously hilly Cofton Park, taking in a loop of the park before returning downhill towards the finish line in Longbridge town centre.
