Why Race for LandAid?
Every year, tens of thousands of young people become homeless. Many are forced to sleep in overcrowded hostels, on people’s sofas or even on the streets.
We bring together remarkable businesses and individuals across the property and wider built environment industry to support projects delivering life-changing services for 16–24 year-olds experiencing homelessness.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I take part as a team?
New for 2026: What is the Fastest Team Challenge?
The Fastest Team Challenge is a friendly competition within Race for LandAid for teams who want to add a competitive edge to their day.
Your fundraising team can include participants across any distance. However, the Fastest Team Challenge is based on the 10K race only.
To qualify, a race team must include a maximum of five runners in the 10K. The combined finishing times of those runners will determine the overall result, with the fastest team crowned the Fastest Team Challenge winners.
If your fundraising team is larger, you can enter multiple Fastest Team Challenge teams, each made up of up to five runners in the 10K. This is a great way to bring colleagues together, spark some healthy competition and boost your fundraising.
Is it a race?
Race for LandAid is open to everyone. Whether you want to run, jog or walk, you’re very welcome to take part and enjoy the day at your own pace.
For those feeling competitive, prizes will be awarded to the fastest male and female finishers in each race distance.
To keep the event running smoothly, cut-off times will apply on the day for each distance. If you’re unsure whether you’ll meet the time limit, please get in touch with us before the event and we’ll be happy to talk through the options.
Above all, Race for LandAid is about coming together as an industry, having fun and raising vital funds to help end youth homelessness.
Do I need to train?
Training isn’t essential, but we do recommend preparing for your chosen distance so you can enjoy the day and feel confident on the course.
Whether you’re aiming for the 5K, 10K or Half Marathon at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, building up your distance gradually will make the experience more enjoyable.
Many participants take part with colleagues, using Race for LandAid as a great reason to get active together in the weeks leading up to the event.
