St. Modwen Annual Charity Run 2024

I'm taking part in the St. Modwen Charity Run

On Thursday 26 September, I am taking part in the St. Modwen Charity Run to raise money for LandAid.

LandAid unite the property industry to support charities delivering life-changing services for young people who are or have been homeless, or who are at risk of homelessness in the future.

The St. Modwen Charity Run is funded by St. Modwen, meaning all funds raised through the event wil be donated to LandAid.

Your donation will help ensure that young people are able to have hope for the future.

Looking out for those less fortunate

LandAid’s mission is to end youth homelessness.  A few statistics from LandAid:

In the UK, every 4 minutes a young person (under the age of 25) becomes homeless.  In 2023 alone this equated to nearly 136,000 16-25 year olds.

48% of homeless adults (older than 25), first became homeless under the age of 20.  Addressing the causes of youth homelessness should reduce homeless adults in the long term.

20% of those who were in care become homeless within two years of leaving care.

35% of young homeless people have mental health problems.

54% of homeless young people became homeless due to relationship breakdown with family or friends.

As part of Savills Birmingham team I will struggle around a hilly 10k course to raise a few £'s in support of LandAid’s good works.  If you can support me in that cause I would be most grateful.  Thank you.
