SleepOut 2024

So far, my fundraising for the SleepOut 2024 could provide a safe space for a young person to sleep for:

0

Days

0

Months

On Thursday 7 March, I am taking part in the LandAid SleepOut to raise money to help support young people who are homeless.

In 2022/2023, nearly 136,000 young people approached their council as they were homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The cost of living crisis has had an immense effect on all of us. This has been felt even more acutely by young people facing homelessness. Reports from the charities that LandAid support have mentioned that they're facing not only a homelessness crisis, but a mental health one too.

Young people facing homelessness need our support more than ever.

LandAid bring the property industry together to support charities delivering life-changing services for young people who are or have been homeless, or who are at risk of homelessness in the future.

Your donation will help ensure that young people are brought in from the cold this winter.

It maybe chilly and damp, but I HAVE the choice - many don't! Please do help if you are able - the LandAid charity was set up by the leading Property sector companies in the UK to provide support and financial assistance for those that are homeless.

My Updates

The day is here

Thursday 7th Mar
Thank you to all that have donated and/or provided best wishes messages. Looking forward, with some anxiety, to sleeping on a cold (possibly damp) surface in London this evening - amazed how lots of young, homeless people do this every night in all sorts of conditions.

The cost of living crisis, on top of a mental health crisis, has had an immense effect on many people. This has been particularly hard-hitting for young people facing, or experiencing, homelessness. LandAid is bringing the property industry together to support charities delivering life-changing services to those who are homeless, or at severe risk of homelessness.
All our team at Derwent London are doing is having one less comfortable night than usual - but at 5-6C outside on a cold, hard, external surface, at least we are going a small way to understating the how some people have to sleep every night! Please donate if you can, thank you. Matt
